  • 1 Tablespoon of Vanilla Extract
  • 1 3/4 Cups of Heavy Cream
  • 1/8 Teaspoon of Fine Sea Salt
  • 1 1/4 Cups of Whole Milk
  • 3/4 Cup of Sugar


  • Ice Cream Maker
  • Saucepan
  • Whisk
  • Air Tight Container


Step 1: In a saucepan, add 1 cup of cream, 3/4 cup of sugar, and 1/8 teaspoon of fine sea salt, and warm the mixture over medium heat until the sugar dissolves. NOTE: If you want to skip this step, you can, and just whisk everything together until it’s well combined.

Step 2: Remove the saucepan from the heat and mix in the remaining 3/4 cup of cream, 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract, and 1 1/4 cups of whole milk. Once combined, let the mixture chill in the refrigerator.

Step 3: Remove the mixture from the refrigerator, whisk, and then pour into the ice cream maker. NOTE: The churning ingredients will vary depending on the ice cream maker’s manufacturer.

Step 4: Once the ice cream is finished, transfer it to an airtight container,  and place it in the freezer until ready to serve.
